Dodge's latest creation, the Challenger SRT Demon, is a staple in "The Fate of the Furious," so it shouldn't come as a surprise when one of the movie's biggest actors ends up as a spokesman for the automaker. Vin Diesel is the latest spokesman to tout Dodge's performance products. He's going to be the face of Dodge's new ad campaign, "The Brotherhood of Muscle." Diesel will also lend his skills to additional television and social media spots.

In addition to the television ads, Diesel will chat about his experiences driving Dodge vehicles and introduce his enormous fan base on his social media platforms to the brand’s The Brotherhood of Muscle lifestyle. Diesel has more than 100 million fans on his Facebook page alone.

Michelle and her 3 friends were on their way home from Disneyland they headed home at about 11:30 .
There were 4  people in that Nissan, Driver Tony, Michelle front passenger,
Alfonso behind Tony, Brian Behind Michelle.
The Nissan was pancaked by the UPS tractor trailer. the top of the Nissan was sheared off, my Daughter was pulled out of the Nissan when the top of the car was sheared off, she was wearing hear seat belt, but it was frayed and torn, and she ejected out the back of the Nissan by extreme forces in all directions, her body was scooped out of the car and slammed,  thrown to the pavement, her body laid on the I-5 over night for about 10 hours. she died in a pool of blood, only covered by a white sheet partially covering her body, her foot and shoe was sticking out.

Dealio I could not guess what is a fair sentence in a case like this - Emotionally I am off center and overwhelmed,
No sentence is fair, you are morally bankrupt and you cannot pay back or restore what is lost, we are left to suffer for the rest of our lives.

I want to thank the DA Michael Blake for all of his time, efforts, persistence, service, making sense of this case and pursuing justice.
I want to thank Michael Blake for enduring all of my questions, I did press him hard to make sure he did a good job and he did.
I want to thank all the first responders but not limited to ambulance services, Care, LACFD, LASD, the CHP and the CHP MAIT Team for their service and dedication.
We just got the CHP and the MAIT Report, now we can find out exactly how it all happened.

 8 -12 - 2019
Here is another perspective of a Street Racer saying Sorry - God will be the Judge - DEALIO LOCKHART SAYS SORRY ON 4 12 2019
MR. LOCKHART - THANK YOU, YOUR HONOR, FOR ALLOWING ME TO SPEAK TO THE VICTIMS AND THE FAMILIES OF THE VICTIMS. WHAT I DID ON THAT NIGHT ON FEBRUARY 27TH, 2016 HAS PROFOUNDLY CHANGED ALL OF YOU GUYS LIVES. I FOUND OUT THAT THREE PEOPLE HAD LOST THEIR LIVES AND FOUR OTHERS WERE SEVERELY INJURED BY MY RECKLESS ACTIONS. MY HEART SANK AND DEVASTATED ME. AND EVERY SINCE THAT NIGHT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS DAY SO I CAN TELL YOU WHAT'S REALLY BEEN ON MY HEART SINCE THAT DAY. TO THE FAMILY OF BRIAN LEWANDOWSKI, TO MICHELLE LITTLEFIELD AND TO THE FAMILY OF RICHARD TREADWAY IT REALLY PAINS ME TO KNOW THAT MY ACTIONS HAVE TAKEN AWAY SOMEONE'S SON, SOMEONE'S DAUGHTER, SOMEONE'S WIFE OR SOMEONE'S HUSBAND. I REALIZE THAT THESE PEOPLE HAD A LIFE FULL OF DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS AND GOALS AND BIG PLANS FOR THE FUTURE AND BY MY RECKLESS ACTIONS OF WHAT I DID THAT NIGHT I TOOK AWAY ALL OF THOSE DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS AND THOSE GOALS AND THEIR LIVES. AND FOR THAT IT'S UNIMAGINABLE JUST HOW MUCH -- HOW MUCH PAIN AND SUFFERING THAT I'VE CAUSED FOR THE FAMILIES, EVERYONE'S FAMILY. THE ONLY REASON THAT I CAN GIVE FOR MY ACTIONS THAT NIGHT IS A PURELY SELFISH ONE AND THAT'S BECAUSE I WANTED TO WIN, AND WITH THAT SELFISH MINDSET I HAVE CREATED A TRAGEDY THAT'S GOING TO FOREVER BE ON THE FOREFRONT OF MY MIND EVERY SINGLE NIGHT UNTIL THE DAY THAT I DIE. TO THE FAMILY OF BRIAN LEWANDOWSKI, I'M VERY SORRY FOR TAKING AWAY YOUR LOVED ONE. TO THE FAMILY OF MICHELLE LITTLEFIELD, I'M DEEPLY, DEEPLY SORRY FOR TAKING THE LIFE OF YOUR LOVED ONE. AND TO THE FAMILY OF RICHARD TREADWAY, I'M SO SORRY FOR TAKING AWAY THE LIFE OF YOUR LOVED ONE. TO ALFONSO MURILLO, THE THIRD, THOMAS WON, TO MIGUEL RUIZ AND ANTHONY MIRAMONTES I FEEL DEEP REGRET FOR MY ACTIONS AND I'M DISGUSTED WITH MYSELF KNOWING THAT MY ACTIONS HAVE CREATED DEBILITATING AND LIFE ALTERING INJURIES TO YOU. I REALIZE THAT YOU ALL HAD DREAMS, ASPIRATIONS, GOALS AND CAREERS AND I ASK THAT YOU JUST PLEASE FORGIVE ME FOR TAKING AWAY THOSE DREAMS AND THOSE ASPIRATION AND THOSE GOALS THAT YOU HAD FOR THE FUTURE. I AM VERY SORRY FOR THAT AND IT'S ALL BECAUSE OF MY RECKLESS ACTIONS ON THAT NIGHT. I FULLY ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY AND ALL THE CONSEQUENCES THAT COME FROM MY ACTIONS ON THAT NIGHT. WHAT I THINK ABOUT MOST ABOUT THIS EVENT IS THE EMOTIONAL LOSS -- THE EMOTIONAL LOSS THAT YOU ALL ARE FEELING AND I THINK ABOUT THE EMOTIONAL PAIN THAT YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN FEELING FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS AND IT REALLY HURTS ME TO KNOW THAT I'VE CAUSED YOU THAT SUFFERING AND THAT PAIN. I THINK ABOUT ALL OF THE HOLIDAYS AND CHRISTMASES, THANKSGIVINGS AND ALL OF THE BIRTHDAYS AND YOUR LOVED ONE ISN'T THERE. AND IT REALLY HURTS ME TO KNOW THAT YOU GUYS ARE GOING THROUGH THAT KNOWING THAT THEY'RE NOT THERE TO BE ABLE TO BE WITH YOU AND TO BE ABLE TO CELEBRATE. I JUST WANT TO THANK ALL OF THE VICTIMS THAT CAME AND SPOKE. IT WAS REALLY HARD LISTENING TO THAT, BUT I THANK YOU FOR YOUR HONESTY AND I THANK YOU FOR YOUR CANDOR TOO IN SAYING WHAT NEEDED TO BE SAID. ALL OF THESE THINGS THEY STAY WITH ME. I MEAN, I THINK ABOUT ALL OF THE HARDSHIPS THAT THE FAMILIES HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH WITH HOSPITAL COSTS, PHYSICAL TREATMENTS, PHYSICAL SESSION TREATMENTS AND ALL THOSE THINGS, AND I THINK ABOUT THOSE AND IT REALLY HURTS AND IT REALLY PAINS ME TO KNOW THAT THAT LEVEL OF -- JUST THAT LEVEL OF INTENSITY HAD TO HAPPEN TO YOU GUYS AND THAT I WAS THE REASON FOR YOU GUYS GOING THROUGH THAT. I'M VERY SORRY FOR THAT, I'M VERY, VERY SORRY THAT I PUT YOU THROUGH THAT, PUT YOU THROUGH THAT FOR THOSE THREE YEARS. I WOULD LIKE THE COURT TO KNOW THAT I HAD A LOT OF TIME TO THINK ABOUT MY ACTIONS THAT NIGHT AND WHAT I'VE DONE. I REALIZE THAT IN A BLINK OF AN EYE AND JUST THROUGH MY IRRESPONSIBLE ACTIONS I CHANGED LIVES. I HAVE CHANGED A WHOLE LOT OF LIVES AND I REALIZE THAT AND I REALLY NEEDED TO CHANGE MY BEHAVIOR. SO WHILE I WAS INCARCERATED I WAS ABLE TO BE ABLE TO BETTER MYSELF BY TAKING CLASSES THAT DEALS WITH -- WITH DEALING WITH TAKING RESPONSIBILITY AND TAKING ACCOUNTABILITY FOR MY ACTIONS. AND WHILE I WAS THERE I WAS ABLE TO HELP OTHERS JUST NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES THAT I HAVE THAT HAVE THE SAME RECKLESS MISTAKES THAT I'VE DONE TO PREVENT ANOTHER TRAGEDY LIKE THIS. 32 I KNOW THAT -- I KNOW THAT ASKING FOR FORGIVENESS AND APOLOGIES ESPECIALLY IN A SITUATION LIKE THIS OF THIS MAGNITUDE IS TOUCH AND GO. I UNDERSTAND TO THE FAMILIES IF YOU CANNOT FORGIVE ME OR YOU WILL NOT FORGIVE ME, BUT PLEASE KNOW THAT I'M DEEPLY SORRY FOR MY RECKLESS ACTIONS THAT NIGHT AND I'M DEEPLY SORRY FOR TAKING AWAY YOUR LOVED ONE. I'M DEEPLY SORRY FOR CAUSING PHYSICAL INJURIES TO PEOPLE -- TO THE MANY PEOPLE THAT I DON'T EVEN KNOW. AND THAT NIGHT REALLY PUT IN PERSPECTIVE THE MAGNITUDE OF MY ACTIONS AND JUST THE FOOLISHNESS OF STREET RACING AND THE CONSEQUENCES. I NEVER THOUGHT SOMETHING LIKE THIS WOULD HAPPEN TO ME, AND I NEVER THOUGHT THAT I WOULD BE THE SOURCE OF YOUR NIGHTMARE, OF YOUR NIGHTMARE, OR OF YOUR NIGHTMARE AND I'M SORRY FOR THAT. AND AGAIN, I AM VERY SORRY AND I DEEPLY APOLOGIZE FOR WHAT I'VE DONE FOR CHANGING YOUR LIVES SO ABRUPTLY AND FOR CAUSING SO MUCH PAIN AND SUFFERING YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR. AND TO MY OWN FAMILY, TO MY MOM, I PRAY THAT YOU CAN FORGIVE ME FOR MY ACTIONS. I NEVER MEANT TO PUT SO MUCH STRESS, ADDED STRESS, ON AN ALREADY LOADED PLATE THAT YOU HAVE. I ASK THAT YOU JUST PLEASE FORGIVE ME FOR PUTTING THAT STRESS AND PUTTING THAT ANXIETY AND PUTTING ALL OF THAT JUST ADDED PRESSURE ON YOU. TO MY FIANCE SYLVIA, I PRAY THAT YOU FORGIVE ME, ALSO. I NEVER MEANT TO -- I NEVER MEANT TO JEOPARDIZE OUR RELATIONSHIP TOGETHER, PUT OUR RELATIONSHIP ON HOLD BY MY FOOLISH ACTIONS. AND SO TO ALL OF THE FAMILIES AND TO ALL THE INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED, I JUST PRAY EVERY DAY, EVERY SINGLE DAY I PRAY THAT GOD CONTINUES TO HEAL YOU PHYSICALLY, THAT GOD CONTINUES TO HEAL YOU MENTALLY, AND THAT HE WILL RETURN THIS TRAGEDY INTO SOMETHING GOOD. THANK YOU, YOUR HONOR, FOR ALLOWING ME TO SPEAK.

Flags at both College of the Canyons campuses are flying at half-staff today in honor of two young students killed in a violent crash on Interstate 5 in Commerce over the weekend.
Both Michelle Littlefield, 19, and Brian Lewandowski, 18, were enrolled in four classes at COC, according to Chancellor Dianne G. Van Hook. Littlefield was an accounting major and Lewandowski was studying computer science.
“All of us at College of the Canyons are grieving their loss. Their deaths leave a void on our campus, in the classrooms and among their friends,” Van Hook wrote in a campus-wide email message.
“I know Brian and Michelle will be greatly missed by their teachers and classmates, who will remember the relationships they had with these bright, caring, and committed students. And I know they will be inspired by the moments and memories Brian and Michelle created and shared for others as they worked hard to be the best people they could be,” Van Hook wrote.
Littlefield and Lewandowski were on their way home to Santa Clarita from Disneyland late Friday night when a UPS truck was struck by a street racer and then flipped over the freeway’s center median and crashed into them head-on.
Twenty-one-year-old Anthony “Tony” Miramontes, was in a coma after the crash, according to Van Hook. He is being treated at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood.
“While we mourn the loss of Brian and Michelle, we join their families in supporting Tony’s recovery,” Van Hook wrote. “We wish him the best, and hope that he can rejoin his friends and classmates at College of the Canyons as soon as possible.”
Lewandowski was the son of a homicide lieutenant with the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department, which said on behalf of the family: “Brian was an incredible young man and every parent’s dream for a son. We are absolutely devastated by our loss. Our hearts go out to the other victims and their families and our prayers are for the survivors’ recovery. We are very thankful for the love and support of family and friends throughout this time.”
Littlefield’s father told NBC News: “I’m sorry this happened to both of us. We would never want any of this. Michelle would be disappointed she was killed. But she would never hold any ill will.”
Van Hook said counselors will be available in the Student Health Center to talk with any students, faculty and staff members who have been touched personally by the tragedy.
The center will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Valencia Campus, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Canyon Country Campus.
“Our hearts and prayers go out to those who cared for and loved these two amazing young people, especially their parents,” Van Hook wrote. “We are better because they shared them with us.”
Suspected street racer arrested in crash that killed three and shut down 5 Freeway

Street racing is being blamed for a multivehicle crash on the 5 Freeway in Commerce early Saturday that left three people dead and shut down the highway in both directions.

The drivers of two vehicles were racing in the southbound lanes near Washington Boulevard shortly after midnight Friday, when one of them lost control of his vehicle and veered into a UPS big-rig, authorities said. The UPS truck slammed into the center divider, then flipped over into the northbound lanes and collided with several oncoming vehicles, causing an explosion, said Sgt. Luis Mendoza of the California Highway Patrol.

Three people died at the scene and four others were injured, Mendoza said.

Dealio Lockhart, 35, of Whittier, identified as one of the suspected street racers, was arrested at the scene and will face vehicular manslaughter charges, according to a statement from the California Highway Patrol.

CHP Officer Alex Rubio said Lockhart admitted to investigators that he had been racing.

Lockhart, who was driving a Dodge Challenger, was racing the driver of a Dodge Charger at the time of the crash, authorities said. Lockhart tried to swerve around a slower vehicle, applied his brakes and lost control of his car, crashing into the UPS truck and triggering the fiery pileup.

The big rig became airborne and hit a gray Nissan, shearing its top off, before coming to rest atop a red Ford Explorer on the northbound side of the freeway, according to the CHP statement.

The male driver of the big rig and two women in the Nissan died at the scene, CHP Officer Tony Polizzi said.

Mendoza said the driver of the big rig appeared to be a white male adult in his 50s while the dead women “looked like they were in their very low 20s … very young.”

Kyle Peterson, a UPS spokesman, said the company would cooperate with any investigation by law enforcement and would conduct its own investigation into the incident as well.

Peterson would not disclose the name of the driver or detail his experience with the company, but said the man worked at a UPS facility in Cerritos.

Four other people were injured and transferred to local hospitals where they were in critical condition, Mendoza said.

The driver of the Charger remains at large.

“Unfortunately there’s not a lot of leads, not a lot of information,” Mendoza said about the search for the second car.

The CHP said that alcohol and drugs were not believed to have been a factor in the crash.

A motorist involved in the crash told KTLA-TV he was traveling north on the freeway when he saw the UPS truck "go up in the air over the center divider." Javier Gonzalez said the truck "landed in front of me and I just locked my brakes up and plowed into the truck. Everything burst into flames."

Gonzalez said he was injured when the roof of his vehicle was crushed, but he was able to get out through the back window after someone opened it for him.

All north and southbound lanes of the heavily damaged freeway between Washington Boulevard and the 710 Freeway will remain closed “until further notice,” according a tweet sent by CHP Southern Division Saturday afternoon.

The Los Angeles county coronor's office said it was unlikely to identify the victims by the end of the day.
The fiery crash was the first of several that clogged the 5 Freeway early Saturday....

Hombre es Acusado por Causar Accidente Fatal en Autopista en Commerce

A Whittier man accused of taking part in a race that triggered a multi-vehicle pileup on the Golden State (5) Freeway in Commerce, killing three people, pleaded not guilty Wednesday to three counts of second-degree murder. Dealio Lockhart, 35, is also charged with four counts of reckless driving on a highway causing injury stemming from the crash that occurred just after midnight Feb. 27. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Upinder Kalra refused the defense’s request to lower Lockhart’s $6.2 million bail. The judge — who was given a packet of about three-dozen letters from those who knew and had worked with the defendant — said he did not doubt that Lockhart had engaged in a “very positive life” in the past. “Good people do bad things, and there are consequences,” the judge said. Defense attorney Dmitry Gorin, had asked that Lockhart’s bail be lowered to $250,000, arguing that his client “had no intent to hurt anyone” and what happened was “an accident.” Lockhart had no prior criminal record and is a college graduate who worked as a field producer on the TV show “Dancing With The Stars,” his lawyer said. Deputy District Attorney Michael Blake told the judge that Lockhart was “playing Russian roulette” with his 4,000-pound Dodge Challenger, which was traveling at 127 mph 2 1/2 seconds before the crash. “This was an 11-mile race,” the prosecutor said, noting that it stretched from Beverly Boulevard to Washington Boulevard. “This was not a situation where you’re dealing with an empty freeway.” Authorities are still searching for the other motorist, with $36,000 in reward money offered last month for the driver of the Dodge Charger. California Highway Patrol investigators said the two Dodge muscle cars were being driven aggressively, with the motorists jockeying for position near the Citadel Outlets. When Lockhart approached a vehicle moving at normal freeway speed ahead of him, he tried to swerve around it but wound up losing control of his car, according to the CHP. The Challenger hit a UPS 18-wheeler, which went airborne and over the center median, shearing off the top of an oncoming Nissan with four people inside, the CHP reported. The truck came to rest on top of a red Ford Explorer on the northbound side of the freeway, north of Washington Boulevard, and immediately burst into flames. Debris from the collision also struck a Chevrolet Tahoe and Chevrolet Silverado...
Commerce, CA -- A fiery crash Saturday morning on I-5 in Commerce that claimed the lives of two men and a woman was started by motorists racing on the freeway, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said.
In the aftermath of the crash, Dealio Lockhart, 35, of Whittier was arrested and could face vehicular manslaughter charges, the CHP tells CBS Affiliate KCBS. Police were searching Saturday for a second motorist.
The accident on the southbound I-5 at Garfield Avenue took place just after midnight, the CHP said.
Lockhart, driving a Dodge Challenger, was racing a Dodge Charger southbound when he saw a slower vehicle ahead and attempted to get around it at the same time that vehicle was trying to move to the right, the CHP said.
Lockhart applied his brakes, lost control of his car and struck the left side of a UPS tractor trailer, which became airborne, hitting and shearing off the top of a gray Nissan.
The suspected racers were believed to be going 85 to 90 mph, KCAL9’s Joy Benedict reported.
The person we have in custody did admit to street racing,” CHP officer Doris Peniche said. “He observed a similar looking vehicle, it caught his attention and they began to race.”
The semi-truck hit the center divider and struck at least six vehicles on the northbound side of the freeway. The semi-truck was then engulfed in flames.
“It was fully engulfed and there were explosions at the scene from the truck which could have been tires exploding or the gas tanks,” CHP Officer Francisco Villalobos said. “We just don’t know yet.”
The driver of the UPS truck was pronounced dead at the scene, he said. Identified Saturday afternoon as  Richard Scott Treadway of Mira Loma, he was based out of the company’s Cerritos office and had been with the company about 30 years.
UPS released a brief statement Saturday: “Our thoughts are with the victims of this accident. UPS will cooperate with police as they investigate, and we will also conduct our own investigation.”

Debris from the collision struck a Chevrolet Tahoe and Chevrolet Silverado, which were traveling on the northbound side.
Two people inside the Nissan were pronounced dead at the scene. A teenager killed in the Nissan was identified Saturday by her family as Michelle Littlefield, 19, of Santa Clarita. She was student at College of the Canyons and worked at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
Paramedics rushed two other people to County/USC Medical Center with major injuries, the CHP reported.
L.A. County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Miguel Ornelas told City News Service that two more people suffered minor injuries and were taken to another hospital.
Debris was spread across all the southbound lanes. The crash also created a nightmare for motorists, backing up north and southbound traffic on the freeway for miles, according to the CHP.The crash scene forced the CHP to shut down the 5 Freeway in both directions. http://www.cbsnews.com/
(Los Angeles Times) – Authorities are continuing to search for the driver of one of two vehicles that caused a deadly multi-vehicle crash during a street race on the 5 Freeway near Commerce just after midnight Saturday.
Three people were killed and several others injured after one of the suspected street racers lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a UPS truck, causing the big rig to flip over the median, smash into oncoming traffic and explode. The big rig collided with a gray Nissan, sheared its top off and came to rest atop of a red Ford Explorer.
The Los Angeles County coroner’s office has not released the names of the man and the two other people killed. But Teamsters Local 396, a labor union, posted on Facebook on Sunday morning that UPS truck driver Scott Treadway was one of the people who died in the accident.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department identified one of the other victims as 18-year-old Brian Lewandowski, whose father is a homicide lieutenant with the department

“Brian was an incredible young man and every parent’s dream

for a son. We are absolutely devastated by our loss,” wrote the

family in a statement.
The third victim was named as Michelle Littlefield in a Facebook post from St. James Holy Redeemer School in Montrose, which identified Littlefield as a member of the class of 2010.

Neither the coroner’s office nor the California Highway Patrol would confirm those names.
Initial reports about the crash said that two women were also killed.
No other information was immediately available about the third victim.
Dealio Lockhart, 35, of Whittier was arrested at the scene and will face vehicular manslaughter charges. Lockhart, who drove the Dodge Challenger, admitted to authorities that he had been racing.
The other suspect was last seen driving a Dodge Charger. There hasn’t been any progress to report on the search, said Officer Tony Polizzi of the California Highway Patrol.
Several victims were transported to the hospital with critical injuries, but their conditions remain unchanged, Polizzi said.
The accident shut down that section of the 5 Freeway for most of the day, and all lanes were reopened around midnight Saturday. Two other accidents, including one with a fatality, also closed multiple lanes on the freeway that day
Two of three people killed in a crash in Commerce that's being blamed on freeway racing lived in Valencia and worked at Six Flags Magic Mountain, sources said Sunday.

Michelle Littlefield, 19, and Brian Lewandowski, 18, both of Valencia, died as a result of injuries suffered in a crash on Interstate 5 early Saturday morning. The fatal traffic collision occurred southbound on Interstate 5 north of Triggs Street in the city of Commerce, according to the CHP.

“Tragically, three lives were lost,” Sheriff’s Department Deputy Sara Rodriguez wrote in a news release issued Sunday. “One of those lives was that of 18-year-old Brian Lewandowski.”

A UPS truck drive from Mira Loma was also killed in the crash, his brother told a television news station. But Los Angeles County Coroner’s Lt. Larry Dietz said Sunday the man’s body had not been officially identified, citing fire-related injuries that are making identification difficult.

Gigi Littlefield, the deceased woman's mother, was struggling with the tragic news, she told The Signal Sunday.

“This should never have happened,” she said.

Michelle Littlefield and three of her co-workers, including Lewandowski, were on their way home from a day at Disneyland when the crash occurred. The two surviving co-workers, both young men, were taken to the hospital.

“We knew immediately something happened when she didn’t come home,” Gigi Littlefield said. “We tried to find out.”

Littlefield said her daughter, her only child, was a straight-A student from West Ranch High School and never missed a day of work at Six Flags in the two years she worked there.

“She never drank. She was a good girl, a responsible girl,” she said, noting her daughter was enrolled in business classes at College of the Canyons and had applied to attend California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo to study business there.

“She went to Cal Poly just two weeks ago,” Littlefield said. “She had so many dreams, so many plans.”

Michelle Littlefield and Brian Lewandowski were both enrolled at College of the Canyons for the spring 2016 semester, college spokesman Eric Harnish said Sunday. Her major was accounting; his was computer science, Harnish said.

Brian Lewandowski is survived by his parents, Jocelyn and Victor Lewandowski, and two brothers. Brian’s father is a homicide lieutenant with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

According to a man who worked with both victims at Six Flags, both also worked at the Santa Clarita Valley amusement park.

An official statement issued Sunday by Six Flags officials reads:

“The Six Flags Magic Mountain family was saddened to learn about two of their team members who were tragically killed in the I-5 freeway incident in Commerce, Calif., on Feb. 27. Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families, friends and colleagues during this difficult time.”

The Lewandowski family issued the following statement regarding the loss of their beloved son Brian Lewandowski:

“Brian was an incredible young man and every parent’s dream for a son. We are absolutely devastated by our loss. Our hearts go out to the other victims and their families and our prayers are for the survivors’ recovery. We are very thankful for the love and support of family and friends throughout this time.”

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal traffic collision was ongoing. Anyone with information regarding the collision was encouraged to contact Officers Fonseca or Flores at the California Highway Patrol East Los Angeles Office at 323-980-4600.

CHP investigators say the crash was caused by two peole racing on the I-5. A driver identified as Dealio Lockhart, 35, of Whittier was driving a Dodge Challenger southbound on the freeway north of Triggs Street in the No. 2 lane while racing a Dodge Charger traveling in the No. 1 lane of the southbound I-5, according to a report issued by CHP Officer D. Peniche.

Lockhart observed a slower-moving vehicle ahead and attempted to go around the vehicle at the same time the drivere of the slower-moving vehicle was attempting to move to the right, Peniche said. Lockhart reportedly applied his brakes, lost control of his vehicle and slammed into the left side of a UPS tractor trailer traveling in the No. 4 lane.

The impact caused the tractor trailer to lose control and collide into the center median and then become airborne, hitting a gray Nissan and shearing the top of the Nissan off, the CHP officer said in the report.

The tractor trailer continued out of control and came to rest on top of a red Ford Explorer that had been traveling northbound on the I-5 north of Washington Boulevard.

The tractor trailer immediately became engulfed in flames, Peniche said in the CHP report.

Debris from the collision struck a fifth and sixth vehicle that had been traveling on the northbound side of the freeway.

Littlefield and Lewandowski had been in the Nissan and were declared dead at the scene. Also killed was the driver of the truck. The two other occupants of the Nissan were transported to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center with major injuries, Peniche said.

Lockhart was arrested shortly before 1:30 a.m. Saturday and booked by the CHP in East Los Angeles, according to information maintained by the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department’s Inmate Information Center.

Although the arrest documents do not name the specific criminal charge, they show Lockhart was
arrested on suspicion of committing a felony criminal offense.

He remains in custody at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday with bail set at $6.2 million.

Lili of streetracingkills.org is making a difference, here is what one in attendance had to say and shared with Lili

Thank you so much for you campaign. Hearing stories like this made me want to stop doing the wrong thing which was street racing. I am not gonna lie it was kinda my way out of my problems. Till one day I started looking in the internet and hearing stories like your daughters. I said to myself I didn’t wanna be that guy. I didn’t wanna make it on the news like this. So I stopped. I also stopped trusting my friends when it comes to driving. I used to be the kid that raced my own shadow. Now I stopped. Thanks to you & other people. I’m now in a group called “low N slow” which is a group that takes people like me away from street racing. Street racing does kills and it made me loose some friends.

I officially stopped street racing 3 months ago. So satisfying to know I don’t need to go fast to enjoy a car.

If you really wanna stop street racing you can make a meeting with people that want to stop this and make police stop some. You also got to understand street racing has been for decades so most of these people won’t give up that easy. It takes years and maybe a decade to be honest with you. It all starts with a rev matching and waiting for the light to turn green to start a race.

Other reasons I want street racing stopped is because there are not only crashes but also gun fights involved sometimes. And that’s a big big problem.

My condolences goes to you. I wish you all the luck.

Thank You
